Private use of sensory room for 1 hour. For activity bookings please message us on Facebook , Instagram or call us on 07481 550366.
Maximum of 4 people at any one time using sensory room , this includes parents/carers/guardians.
However If you have more than 4 people that require use of sensory room we can accommodate this with the use of the adjoining activity hub for seating for parents/carers/guardians to a maximum of 4 people in the sensory room and 4 parents/carers/guardians. Please message/call us prior to booking if you require space for more than 4 people.
Unfortunately due to space we can only allow 1 wheelchair user at a time for sensory room bookings . If you or individuals accessing the sensory room are ambulatory wheelchair users we can allow up to 4 wheelchair users if these can be folded/left within the activity room however please message us/ call us prior to booking if you require the booking for more than 1 wheelchair user as this sessions must be booked when there are no activities running in the activity side.
We have a portable hoist available , at present you are unable to access the ball pool with the hoist.
Please ensure you note on your booking that the hoist is required , you are required to bring your own sling for our hoist.
We have a toilet on site , unfortunately this is not a disabled toilet.

At Sensory Haven we are a family run business with personal experience of having a child with SEN and the difficulties accessing suitable venues. Due to this there may be occasions when you arrive for your sensory room session and our children are on site in the garden or activity hub, your sensory room session will still be fully private for you and your booking.
Please note we also run activity sessions along side some of the sensory room bookings but rest assured your sensory room booking is completely private and the room is for your use only during your booked slot.
If having other children or people in the venue is not suitable due to your child or adults individual needs please contact sensory haven through Facebook messenger, WhatsApp or call prior to booking on 07481550366 So we can advise what the best time/ days are to book where activity sessions are not running and so we can ensure that our children are not on site.
We don’t have a card reader however you can pay using ;
- Cash
- Scan our QR code and pay using the SumUp link with debit card , credit card , Apple Pay or Google pay. (We have a copy available to scan on site)
- We at sensory haven can send you a text with a payment link where you can pay using the SumUp link with debit card , credit card , Apple Pay or Google pay.
- Pay contactless through your iPhone if you have Apple Pay by holding your phone against our SumUP app
None of the options above are at any additional cost to you and you do not have to download the SumUp app to pay by being sent the payment link.
If you have any questions around the sensory room or adaptions to the environment to ensure the sensory room is suitable for your use please let us know and we will accommodate where possible.
We have been asked the same question a few times now and although we are sad to hear that there are children and adults with disabilities excluded from services we wanted to share a quick post about Sensory Haven.
Just because the individual you are brining displays behaviour that challenges that DOSEN’T mean they can’t access our sensory room.
We have personal experience of having a child with SEN but have also worked within residential and supported living settings with both children and adults who display behaviours that challenge for several years and understand the difficulties that you face finding a suitable environment.
- If the individual you are bringing struggles with transitions please let us know if there are any ways we can help to support you.
- If the individual you are bringing refuses to leave we have 15 minutes between sessions but you can always book the last session of the day we are more than happy to stay as long as it takes
- If the individual you are brining displays behaviour that challenges to others please let us know , although the sensory room is private booking and just for you there are occasions we have activity sessions running in the other side or as we are a family run business our own children may be on site in the activity hub or garden. If having other people in the venue poses difficulties for you or the individual you are bringing to access our sensory room we can arrange for you to attend when activities are not running and ensure our children are not on site.
- If there are certain words , sensory equipment , certain colour lights , certain smells , certain textures etc that are a trigger please let us know and we can adapt the environment where possible.
- If the individual you are bringing is known for absconding we can share a floor plan or show you our premises prior to your visit. Just to confirm though our sensory room is accessed through the activity room , we have a fully enclosed metal fenced garden with only 1 main entrance in/out of the property.
& lastly we are a detached property so noise is not an issue.
